My name is Renato Frey, I am a cognitive psychologist and work as a researcher at the Center for Cognitive and Decision Sciences (University of Basel). I am also an adjunct researcher at the Center for Adaptive Rationality (Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin).

In my research I study how people make decisions under risk and uncertainty, with a particular focus on the construct of risk preference and how people make decisions from experience. To this end I implement lab experiments as well as ecological assessments, and I use various data-science methods for cognitive and statistical modeling. You can also find me on Google Scholar.
